Sanatan Dharma - the first ever quest of sustainable humanity 5000-10,000 years ago by the seers is summed up methodically in Srimad Bhagwad gita. Santan means eternal, Dharam closely proximate to Duties and behaviours. The rules of sustainable humanity is Sanatan Dharma. In ancient India, this mother religion was born only to evolve other religions of the world later, though the track is lost, its content and intent are inherited in most other religions. Although some time interpreted differently. Sanatan Dharma is different from Pauranik Hinduism in the ways they are presented. The natural phenomenons are embodied to explain the science of physical and metaphysical worlds in mythological stories, where as Srimad Bhagawad Gita (SBG) describes it as terms of Yoga- the conjunction with the ultimate truth , the brahman or Prama Brahma. There are four ways to achieve Yoga with supreme depending on intellect and inclinations : Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Gyan Yoga (also known as Sankhya or Raj yoga), Dhyan Yoga. One can follow either ways to internalize the Gods, rather, realize the god within and then universalize it with supreme. Everything physical or metaphysical is inside Brahman and integral part of it.
The theory of avatars : Who was Rama and Krishna- the heroes who brought drastic correction in the otherwise misled society, bringing them back on the path of Humanity, Same as Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed and many more did in their times. While Jesus followed Bhakti yoga of Sanatan Dharma, Buddha became rejuvinator of Dhyan yoga and Mohammed preached Gyan yoga. Un fortunately almost all religions have drifted away again in practice today, if not in essence. The reason for those deviations in world's religion are sometime drastic owing not to founders, but the later followers, rulers and their selfish advisor or lack of intellectual interpretations.
To begin with Let's start understanding the mother Religion Sanatan Dharma first. As the name suggest Sanatan Dharma is nothing but the behavior of people and their duties towards various factions and individuals in society so as to breed amicable, progressive and constructive environment where everybody help others and no one hurt anyone, thus providing the basis of all loving human society that would proliferate forever without being endangered to destruction – thus the rules of sustainable humanity Or ‘Sanatan Dharma’ got discovered 5000 years or more ago in indian continent by hundreds and thousands of thinking minds, philosophers and psychologists, then known as Rishis, Munis, Gurus, Paramhans. Such sages used to gather for the process of shastrartha which is still in practice in universities and known as seminars or paper presentations, and the best of the thoughts or combination of were compiled. This is why when people ask who was the founder of Santan dharma or Hinduism -there is no one name to answer.
Over the period Sanatan dharma expanded and hundreds of literature originated from former four vedas – Rek veda, Yajurveda, saam veda, Atharva veda. Vedanta and Upanishads came later. However of All Lord Sri Krishan kathit and Vedvyas charit Srimad Bhagwad Gita (SBG), summarizes most of the Sanatan Dharma beautifully in a very orderly manner in its 18 chapters – a must read for all who are born as human irrespective of their current professed religion. Gita upadesh is carve out from a greater epic 'Mahabharata', where lord krishna in his yogic state persuade to fight for protection of Dharma- as it has knock down effects for future generations to come. Humanity is not about present actions but for future amicable sustenance of mankind and their welfare. Gita is not just a theology but the theory of all human sciences knitted together- sociology, socio psychology, philosophy, theory of action and theory of concentration. What is yoga, is also explained, and customized four path of faith for different individuals standing at various steps of intellectual ladder. It recognizes broadly four levels of intelligence people may possess and knowing well that all cannot understand and digest everything deep and bizarre, so he prescribed four sub paths of religion called Bhakti yoga(faith based conjunction with divine, popular as Hindu dharma), Karma yoga (action based conjunction with divine), Gyan yoga(existing knowledge based) and Dhyan yoga (meditation based discoveries)
Here in this website we start with understanding SBG first, where in all of Hinduism is summed up integrally and coherently, and then we shall unfold plethora of essential knowledge only to be amazed of what seers had thought 5000 years ago, people cannot even understand today….ironically, the fact is that not many Hindus today really understand their this extremely valuable treatise, which can open their minds ten folds and therefore is a must read book for teenagers in their young hood, for benefiting early in their life instead of discovering the truth of life towards the end of life. Having said that, SBG has been translated by many erudite in the past – all of them have a basic theme to promote, such as devotional steams of religious practise leaning more on embodied mythologies and thus interprete the shlokas (verses) accordingly. For example Sankara krit Vaishnavite Hinduism falls in Bhakti yoga, and SBG’s written by those writers will be doxological and little different from what this website will unfold. This website leans on practical and coherent significane of the knowledge encoded and thus driven more by Gyan yoga, and thus the interpretations. There is no contradiction as such, but its important to present Gyan yoga based interpretations to coming generation whose average analytical skills are improving and they often find Bhakti yoga based interpretation inconsistent or unrealistic, specially mythological stories, and godification of natural phenomenon and thus often misled to even challenge the sanctity and authority of Gods, even Lord Krishna. Having no basic understanding of what is true Dharma, what is encoded in the mythologies, and what are the basic element that distinguishes Dharma from Adharma, the doable from non doable, they tend to jump to conclusion with little or incorrect information; and this is a dangerous turn. We are force feeding Bhakti yoga based interpretation to those who possess higher intellect and capable of understanding Gyan yoga, thereby creating challengers rather than followers. Such men deserve a better interpretation that suits to their analytical minds, and to their genre. Therefore this website takes the efforts forward and is expected to drive people upwards from Bhakti yoga à to karma yoga, Gyan yoga, and Dhyan yoga.
Note that it is upto individuals intellectual skills how they relate the sayings to their experience and thoughts, and therefore their will be room for thoughts and better ment. Suggestions are welcome to improve the content of this site. Feel free to contact us at email@example.com
